ಸಹಜಧ್ಯಾನದ ಗುರುವೇ, ಸರಳ ಸುಲಭದ ಅರಿವೆ !
ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗೂ ವಾತ್ಸಲ್ಯದ ಸುಧೆಯನುಣಿಸಿ, ಅಪ್ಪಿಬೆಳೆಸಿದ ತಾಯಿ ಹೃದಯದ ಗುರುವೇ !

ಯಾರು ಈ ಗುರುರಾಯರು, ಎಂದು ನೋಡಲು ಬಂದ ಅಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಮೊದಲ ನೋಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯರಂತೆ ಕಂಡರೂ ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ದಿವ್ಯ ತೇಜಸ್ಸು, ಅವರ ಬಳಿ ಬಂದು ಕುಳಿತಾಗ ತಮ್ಮ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿನ ನಾನಾ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಅವರು ಕೇಳದೆಯೇ ಅವರ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪುವಂತೆ ಅವರ ಹೃದಯ ಅಹುದು, ಅಹುದು, ನಿಜ ಎಂದು ಸಂತೋಷ ಪಡುವಂತೆ ಪ್ರಕಟಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಆ ಮಹಾಮಹಿಮರ ವಾಗ್ಝರಿ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಒಡಲ ಬಾರ ಇಳಿಸಿ ತಮಗೆ ಧೈರ್ಯದ ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿ, 'ತಾವು ನಂಬಿದ ದೇವರು ಎಂದೂ ಕೈ ಬಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಆ ಕರುಣಾಮಯಿ ಗುರುವು ತಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ನಮ್ಮ ಅಜ್ಞಾನ ತುಂಬಿದ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಚಂಚಲ ಚಿತ್ತದಿಂದಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಾವು ಕಾಣಲಾಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ' ಎಂಬುದರ ಅರಿವನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿ ತುಂಬಿದ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ಮನಮುಟ್ಟುವಂತೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟು ಎಲ್ಲರ ಪೂರ್ವಾಪರವನ್ನು ಅರಿತ ಶ್ರೀ ಗುರುರಾಯರು ಹೇಳಿದರೆಂದರೆ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಹೃದಯದ ಭಾರ ಮಾಯವಾಗಿ ಆನಂದದಿಂದ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಜನ ಮತ್ತೇ ಮತ್ತೆ ಅವರನ್ನರಸಿ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಸನ್ಯಾಸಿ ಅಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೂ ನಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವಿರತ ವೈರಾಗ್ಯ, ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನವಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯ ಸಾಮ್ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರರಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯೇ ಎಂದು ಅತ್ಯುನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಾನ. ಬರುವ ಅಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ ಭಕ್ತ ಜನರಿಗೆ ನಿರಂತರ ಲೋಕನೀತಿಯ ಜ್ಞಾನಪಾಠ. ಈ ರೀತಿಯ ಒಬ್ಬ ಜೀವಂತ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ನಾವು ಇದುವರೆಗೂ ಕಂಡು ಕೇಳರಿಯಲಾರೆವು. ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ಎಂದರೆ ಅದೇನೋ ಪ್ರೀತಿ, ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆ, ಅದೇನೋ ದೈವಿಕ ಜೀವಂತಿಕೆ. ಅವರು ಮಾತ್ರಾ "ನಮ್ಮಪ್ಪ, ನಮ್ಮಪ್ಪ" ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾ ಸರ್ವವನ್ನೂ ರಾಯರಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ ಮಹನೀಯರು ಶ್ರೀ ನಾಗರಾಜ ರಾಯರು.

At every step, you nourished us with the nectar of loving affection, embracing and nurturing us with the heart of a mother, O revered Guru!

Who is this revered Guru? At first glance, he appeared to be the most ordinary among ordinary people. Yet his face radiated a divine brilliance. When they sat in his presence, the many questions weighing on their minds would be answered even before they spoke. His words would resonate so deeply with their hearts that they would inwardly rejoice, saying, "Yes, yes, this is true." The sacred flow of his speech lifted the burdens from their hearts and filled them with the wealth of courage. With words overflowing with love, he would gently awaken them to the truth that the Lord they had placed their faith in would never abandon them; the compassionate Guru was always with them. It was only because of our ignorance-filled vision and restless minds that we were unable to perceive His presence. When this revered Guru, who knew the past, present, and inner lives of everyone who came to him, spoke these words, the heaviness in their hearts would disappear. They would return home filled with joy, and many of them came back again and again, seeking his presence. Though he was not a monk, his life reflected unwavering renunciation. Though he did not preside over a monastery, in the kingdom of his heart he had bestowed the highest place upon Sri Raghavendra, whom he lovingly regarded as his very own father. To the countless devotees who came to him, he tirelessly imparted the wisdom of righteous living and spiritual values. Rare indeed is such a living soul; we have neither seen nor heard of another like him. For him, the very name Raghavendra was pure love, complete surrender, and living divinity. Constantly calling out, "Our Father, our Father," and offering everything to Sri Raghavendra, this noble soul was Shri Nagaraja Rayaru.

ಹೌದು ಅವರೇ ಲಕ್ಕಸಂದ್ರದ ರಾಯರು. ಕೆಲವರಿಗೆ ಗುರುವಾಗಿಯೂ, ಹಲವರಿಗೆ ಅವಧೂತರಾಗಿಯೂ, ನೀನೆ ಗತಿಯೆಂದವರಿಗೆ ತಂದೆಯಾಗಿಯೂ, ಯಾರಿನ್ನು ನಮಗೇ ಎಂದುಕೊಂಡವರಿಗೆ ತಾಯಿಯಾಗಿಯೂ, ಬಂದು ನಮಿಸಿದವರಿಗೆ ಬಂಧುವಾಗಿಯೂ, ನಿಜಜ್ಞಾನವರಸಿ ಬಂದವರಿಗೆ ಸರಳ ಅರಿವಿನ ಧಾರೆಯಾಗಿ, ಸಹಜ ಧ್ಯಾನದ ಯೋಗಿಯಾಗಿ ಬೆಳಗಿದ ಮಹಾಜ್ಯೋತಿ. ಕಲಿಯುಗದ ಈ ಆಧುನಿಕ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾನ್ಯಾರು, ತನ್ನ ಜನ್ಮದ ಸಾರ್ಥಕದ ದಾರಿಯೇನು, ತನ್ನ ಬದುಕಿನ ಜಂಜಾಟವಾದರೂ ಯಾಕೆ ಎಂಬ ಅನೇಕ ಉತ್ತರವಿಲ್ಲದ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಹಳ ಸುಲಭವಾದ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟ ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಬತ್ತಿಗಳಿಲ್ಲದ, ನಿರಂತರ ಬೆಳಗಿದ ನಂದಾದೀಪ.

Yes, he was the revered "Rayaru of Lakkasandra". To some, he was a Guru; to many, an Avadhuta. To those who sought him as their sole refuge, he was a loving father. To those who felt they had no one to call their own, he became a compassionate mother. To all who came and bowed before him, he was a true kinsman. To sincere seekers of Truth, he was a flowing stream of simple yet profound wisdom—a yogi of Sahaja Dhyana, shining as a great divine light. In this modern age of Kali Yuga, he was an ever-burning lamp, needing neither oil nor wick, illuminating the path for countless souls. He revealed a remarkably simple way to answer life's deepest and most perplexing questions: Who am I? What is the true purpose of my birth? Why is life filled with so many struggles and entanglements? To these and countless other questions that seemed to have no answers, he showed an effortless path of understanding and realization.

ಸದಾ ಬಾಯಲ್ಲಿ ವೀಳ್ಯದೆಲೆ, ಅವರ ನಿರರ್ಗಳ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಲಿಸಲು ಸುತ್ತುವರೆದ ಜನಸಮೂಹ, ಒಮ್ಮೆ ವಾಕ್ಝರಿ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತೆಂದರೆ ಅನೇಕರಿಗೆ ಒಂದೇ ಉತ್ತರ. ಲೌಕಿಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗೆ ಪರಿಹಾರವಲ್ಲದೆ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವರಿಗೂ ಸರಳ ಉಪಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಡುವ ಸತ್ವಭರಿತ ಅಮೃತೋಪದೇಶ. ಈ ಅಮೃತಪಾನದಿಂದ, ಮೃತರ ರೀತಿ ಬದುಕಿದ್ದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯೂ ಜೀವಂತಿಕೆ ಪಡೆದು ಜಿಗಿದಾಡುವಂತಹ ಉತ್ಸಾಹ.

With a betel leaf ever in his mouth, he would be surrounded by crowds eager to listen to his uninterrupted flow of words. Once his stream of discourse began, a single teaching would often answer the questions of many at once. His was not merely guidance for solving worldly problems; his profound nectar-like teachings also offered simple and practical ways for those walking the spiritual path. Such was the power of this immortal nectar of wisdom that even one who had been living like the spiritually dead would awaken to new life, filled with vitality, joy, and an irresistible enthusiasm to move forward.

ಈ ಜೀವನೋತ್ಸಾಹದ ಚೈತನ್ಯಮೂರ್ತಿ ನಮ್ಮೊಡನೆಯೇ ಇದ್ದು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನುದ್ಧರಿಸಲೇ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆಯೇ? ಎಂಬ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಕಾಡದೆ ಇರದು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟ ಮನೊಸಿದ್ಧತೆ ಬದುಕಿನ ಯಾವುದೇ ಸವಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು, ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಗೆದ್ದು ಬರುವ ಮಂತ್ರವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಣಾರಾಧನೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದವರು. ಇದುವೇ ಸಾಧನೆಗೆ ನಿಜ ಭಕ್ತಿ ಮಾರ್ಗವೆಂದು ತೋರಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟವರು. ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಿಸುವ ಅವ್ಯಕ್ತ ಶಕ್ತಿಯೊಂದಿದೆ. ಆ ಶಕ್ತಿಯ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣದಲ್ಲಿರುವೆವೆಂಬ ನಿರಂತರ ಅರಿವೇ ನಿಜವಾದ ಭಾಗ್ಯ. ಅದರ ಆನಂದವೇ ಬೇರೆ, ಅದರ ಅನುಭವವೇ ವಿಶೇಷವೆಂದು ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದವರಾಗಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯರಿಗೂ ಗೊತ್ತುಪಡಿಸಿ ತನ್ಮೂಲಕ ಇರುವ ಗೊಂದಲಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಹರಿಸಿ, ಭವದ ದುಗುಡಗಳನ್ನು ದಾಟಿಸುವ ಗುರುವೆನಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವರು ಈ ರಾಯರು. ಹೇಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಮಂತ್ರಾಲಯದ ರಾಯರು ನಾಸ್ತಿಕರನ್ನು ಆಸ್ತಿಕರಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆಯೋ, ಈಗಲೂ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೋ, ಅದೇ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಈ ರಾಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂಪರ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದವರನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ಪರಿವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ಬುದ್ಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತುಂಬಿಕೊಂಡ ಸ್ವಾಭಿಮಾನ, ಬಿಗುಮಾನ, ತಾಪಮಾನವನ್ನು ತಣ್ಣಗಾಗಿಸಿ, ಹೃದಯಕ್ಕೆ ತಂಪೆರೆದು ಹೊಸ ಪ್ರಪಂಚವನ್ನು ತೆರೆದಿಟ್ಟು ಮರುಜನ್ಮವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರು.

One cannot help but wonder: Was this very embodiment of life-affirming spiritual energy truly sent to live among us solely to uplift us? Such a question naturally arises. For he prepared our minds in such a way that we could not only face life's challenges and hardships but also overcome them. Through the path of loving surrender and worship, he taught the practice that becomes the very key to victory. He revealed that this alone is the true path of devotion and spiritual practice. He would often remind us that there exists an unseen Power that governs everything. To live in the constant awareness that we are under the guidance and protection of that Supreme Power is true blessedness. He had personally experienced the unique joy and peace that arise from this realization, and with great compassion he made this truth accessible even to ordinary people. By doing so, he dispelled their confusion, relieved the sorrows of worldly existence, and guided them safely across the ocean of life's suffering. Such was this revered Rayaru. Just as the revered Rayaru of Mantralaya transformed atheists into believers in the past—and continues to do so even today—in the same way, our Rayaru would patiently observe and test those who came into his presence. He would gently cool the pride, ego, and inner turmoil that had accumulated in their minds and hearts, bringing soothing peace to their souls. Opening before them an entirely new world of understanding, he bestowed upon them nothing less than a spiritual rebirth.

ದೇವ ಮನೆಯ ದೀಪವಾಗಿ, ಮನದಿ ನಿಂತ ಮಂತ್ರ ಸಂತನ (ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರರ) ಚರಣ ಸುಮವೇ !!

What radiance shines from this humble lamp? What boundless love fills this compassionate heart?
