ಲಕ್ಕಸಂದ್ರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬೆಸೆದುಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಗಮನಾರ್ಹ ಕಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದೆಂದರೆ ಶ್ರೀ ಪಂಚಮುಖಿ ಆಂಜನೇಯ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ. ಇದನ್ನು ಭಕ್ತರು ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಯರ ದೂರದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಮತ್ತು ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಜ್ಞಾನದ ದಿವ್ಯ ಅಭಿವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಎಂದೇ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
One of the most remarkable stories associated with Lakkasandra is the construction of the Panchamukhi Anjaneya Swamy Temple, which devotees regard as a divine manifestation of Sri Rayaru’s foresight and spiritual insight.
ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಯರ ಆಪ್ತ ಭಕ್ತರಲ್ಲಿ ವೇಣುಗೋಪಾಲ್ ರೆಡ್ಡಿ ಅಲಿಯಾಸ್ ರೆಡ್ಡಿ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರಿನ ಮಹನೀಯರೊಬ್ಬರಿದ್ದರು. ಒಂದು ದಿನ ರೆಡ್ಡಿಯವರು ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಯರಿಗೆ ಕರೆ ಮಾಡಿ, ಉದಾತ್ತ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯವೊಂದನ್ನು ಕೈಗೆತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತ ಜಿ.ಎಸ್. ರಾಜು ಅವರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ರಾಜು ಅವರು ಮೈಸೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹನುಮಂತನ (ಆಂಜನೇಯ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಯ) ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲು ಸಂಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ, ಅವರು ಆಂಜನೇಯ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಯ ಭವ್ಯವಾದ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಕೆತ್ತಿಸಲು ಆದೇಶಿಸಿದ್ದರು ಮತ್ತು ಆ ಕೆತ್ತನೆಯ ಕೆಲಸವು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಂಡಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ, ಕೆಲವು ಅನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿತ ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳಿಂದಾಗಿ, ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದ ಭೂಮಿಯು ಇನ್ನೂ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
Among Sri Rayaru’s close devotees was a gentleman named Venugopal Reddy alias Reddy. One day, Reddy called Sri Rayaru and informed him about his friend, G.S. Raju, who had undertaken a noble spiritual mission. Raju had resolved to build a temple for Lord Anjaneya (Hanuman) in Mysuru. With great devotion, he had commissioned the carving of a magnificent idol of Lord Anjaneya, and the work had been completed successfully. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the land identified for the temple was not yet available for construction.
ಇದರ ಪರಿಣಾಮವಾಗಿ, ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ಯೋಜನೆ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯುವವರೆಗೆ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ತಾತ್ಕಾಲಿಕವಾಗಿ ಲಕ್ಕಸಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಿಸಲು ರಾಜು ಬಯಸಿದ್ದರು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ರೆಡ್ಡಿಯವರು ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಯರನ್ನು ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸಿ, ಆ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಪಾವಧಿಯವರೆಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಿಸಲು ಅನುಮತಿ ನೀಡಬೇಕಾಗಿ ವಿನಂತಿಸಿದರು.
As a result, Raju wished to keep the idol temporarily at Lakkasandra until the temple project in Mysuru could proceed. Reddy therefore approached Sri Rayaru and asked for permission to place the idol there for a short period.
ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಯರು ಒಂದು ಗಹನವಾದ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಅವರು ರೆಡ್ಡಿಯವರಿಗೆ, 'ನಾನು ನಿನಗೊಂದು ಮಾತು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಆ ಆಂಜನೇಯ ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದರೆ, ಈ ಜಾಗ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವನು ಇಲ್ಲೇ ಕಾಯಂ ಆಗಿ ಉಳಿದುಬಿಡುತ್ತಾನೆ' ಎಂದರು. ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಯರು ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಗುಳ್ನಗೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಹೇಳಿದರಾದರೂ, ಅವರ ಸುತ್ತಲಿದ್ದವರಿಗೆ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದೋ ಆಳವಾದ ಅರ್ಥವಿರುವುದು ಮನವರಿಕೆಯಾಯಿತು. ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ, ಅವರು ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಕಸಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ತರಲು ಅನುಮತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು.
On hearing this, Sri Rayaru made a profound statement. He told Reddy, “I will tell you one thing. If that Anjaneya comes here, he will not leave this place. He will remain here permanently.” Although Sri Rayaru spoke these words with a smile, those around him sensed a deeper meaning. Nevertheless, he granted permission for the idol to be brought to Lakkasandra.
ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಯರ ಅನುಮೋದನೆಯ ನಂತರ, ರಾಜು ಅವರು ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ಕೆತ್ತಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಆ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಕಸಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. ತಾವು ಇನ್ನೂ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪನೆಗೆ ಮುನ್ನ ವಿವಿಧ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಇದೇ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ, ಅವರು ಕೆಲಸದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಅಮೆರಿಕಕ್ಕೆ (ಯುನೈಟೆಡ್ ಸ್ಟೇಟ್ಸ್) ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿತ್ತು.
Following Sri Rayaru’s approval, Raju transported the beautifully carved idol to Lakkasandra and entrusted it to him. He explained that he still needed to raise funds for the temple and perform various preparations before consecration. In the meantime, he had to travel to the United States for workrelated reasons.
ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ದಿನಗಳ ಸಣ್ಣ ಪ್ರವಾಸವೆಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿದ್ದು ಸುದೀರ್ಘ ವಾಸ್ತವ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಬದಲಾಯಿತು. ಕೊನೆಗೂ ರಾಜು ಅವರು ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿದಾಗ, ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಯರನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿಯಾಗಿ ತಾವು ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಮೈಸೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲು ತಮಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಯಾರನ್ನು ನಂಬಿದ್ದರೋ, ಅವರು ವಿವಿಧ ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳಿಂದಾಗಿ ಈಗ ಆ ಯೋಜನೆಗೆ ಬೆಂಬಲ ನೀಡುವ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಮೂಲ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾರ್ಯಗತಗೊಳಿಸುವುದು ಅಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
What was expected to be a short trip turned into a lengthy stay. When Raju finally returned, he approached Sri Rayaru and explained the difficulties he was facing. The people on whom he had depended to help establish the temple in Mysuru were no longer able to support the project due to various circumstances. The original plan had become impossible to execute.
ಈ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮನಗಂಡ ರಾಜು ಅವರು, ಪಂಚಮುಖಿ ಆಂಜನೇಯ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಕಸಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲೇ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಯರಲ್ಲಿ ವಿನಮ್ರವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದರು. ಆ ಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ, ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಯರು ತಾವು ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ನುಡಿದಿದ್ದ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವಾಣಿಯನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ನೆನಪಿಸಿದರು—ಅದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಆಂಜನೇಯನು ಲಕ್ಕಸಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರೆ, ಅವನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಕದಲುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬ ಮಾತು.
Recognizing these developments, Raju humbly prayed to Sri Rayaru, requesting that the Panchamukhi Anjaneya Temple be established at Lakkasandra itself. At that moment, Sri Rayaru reminded everyone of the prediction he had made earlier—that once Anjaneya arrived at Lakkasandra, he would never leave.
ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಯರ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಭಕ್ತರ ಪೂರ್ಣ ಹೃದಯದ ಬೆಂಬಲದೊಂದಿಗೆ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು. ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 2004 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಶಂಕುಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ ನೆರವೇರಿತು, ಮತ್ತು 13 ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 2005 ರಂದು ಮಹಾ ವೈಭವ ಹಾಗೂ ಭಕ್ತಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪವಿತ್ರವಾದ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪನಾ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವವು ಜರುಗಿತು. ಅಂದಿನಿಂದ, ಶ್ರೀ ಪಂಚಮುಖಿ ಆಂಜನೇಯ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿದಿನವೂ ಪೂಜೆ ನೆರವೇರುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಶಾಂತಿ, ಶಕ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ದಿವ್ಯ ಕೃಪೆಯನ್ನು ಅರಸಿ ಬರುವ ಅಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ ಭಕ್ತರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಮಿಯು ಹರಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
With the blessings of Sri Rayaru and the wholehearted support of devotees, the construction of the temple began. The foundation ceremony was performed in August 2004, and the sacred consecration ceremony took place on 13 February 2005 with great grandeur and devotion. Since that day, Lord Panchamukhi Anjaneya has been worshipped there daily, blessing countless devotees who visit the temple seeking peace, strength, and divine grace.
ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷವೂ ಈ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹನುಮ ಜಯಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ವೈಭವದಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ, ಇದು ಅನೇಕ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಿಂದ ಭಕ್ತರನ್ನು ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ದೇವಾಲಯವು ಭಕ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಉನ್ನತಿಯ ಕೇಂದ್ರವಾಗಿ ಮಾರ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬರುವ ಸಂದರ್ಶಕರು ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವಾಗ ತಮಗಾಗುವ ಆಳವಾದ ಶಾಂತಿ, ಸಂತೋಷ ಮತ್ತು ಆಂತರಿಕ ತೃಪ್ತಿಯ ಭಾವನೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅಕ್ಕರೆಯಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Every year, Hanuman Jayanthi is celebrated at the temple on a grand scale, attracting devotees from many places. The temple has become a center of devotion and spiritual upliftment. Visitors often speak of the deep sense of peace, happiness, and inner satisfaction they experience while sitting in the temple premises and offering their prayers.
