ಲಕ್ಕಸಂದ್ರದ ಸ್ಥಳ ಗೌತಮ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಒಂದು ಪುಣ್ಯಭೂಮಿ. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಲಕ್ಕಸಂದ್ರವು ದೊಡ್ಡಬಳ್ಳಾಪುರ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು 16 ಕಿ.ಮೀ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸುಂದರವಾದ ನಂದಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳಿಂದ ಸುತ್ತುವರೆದಿರುವ ಒಂದು ಸಣ್ಣ ಹಳ್ಳಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಶ್ರೀ ದಿವಂಗತ ಶ್ಯಾಮಾಚಾರ್, ಒಬ್ಬ ವಿನಮ್ರ ರೈತ, ಈ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ದೈವಿಕ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ, ಶ್ರೀ ನಾಗರಾಜ (ರಾಯರು) ಗುಬ್ಬಿಯಿಂದ ಲಕ್ಕಸಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು. ಶ್ರೀ ಗುರು ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಗಳ ದೈವಿಕ ಸೂಚನೆಯ ಮೇರೆಗೆ, ಶ್ರೀ ಗುರು ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಗಳ ಬೃಂದಾವನವನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲು ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ಪಡೆದ ಶ್ಯಾಮಾಚಾರರನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಯರು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿದರು.

Sacred Land at Gautama Kshetra: Lakkasandra is a sacred land located at Gautama Kshetra. Currently, Lakkasandra is a small village surrounded by the scenic Nandi Hills, located about 16 km from Doddaballapur town. Shri Late Shyamachar, a humble farmer, lived in this sacred place. Following this divine command, Sri Nagaraja (Rayaru) came to Lakkasandra from Gubbi. Sri Rayaru blessed Shyamachara, who, under the divine instruction of Shri Guru Raghavendra Swami, was guided to establish the Brindavana of Shri Guru Raghavendra Swami here.

A Spiritual Journey: Rayaru's was deeply spiritual process rooted in faith, hardship, and divine guidance from Raghavendra Swami rather than material resources or traditional methods. The narrative emphasizes that the temple was not built through wealth, planning, or institutional support, but through personal devotion and spiritual experiences.

Divine Inspiration as the Starting Point: The entire process began when Sri Rayaru experienced a vision or presence of Raghavendra Swami. Initially, he doubted whether this was real or just imagination. However, when others around him also witnessed or confirmed the presence, his belief became firm. This marked the turning point, convincing him that he was being guided by a divine force.

Direct Instruction to Build a Simple Shrine: Shortly after the vision, Sri Rayaru received a clear inner command from Raghavendra Swami to construct a Brindavana. Importantly, this was not meant to be a grand or elaborate temple. Instead, he was instructed to build a simple mud structure (Mrithika), showing that spiritual power does not depend on material richness or architectural complexity.

Humble Construction Process by Sri Rayaru: The temple construction began on an auspicious day (Ekadashi). With the help of just a few Bhaktas of Rayaru, they:

• Collected holy soil manually
• Built the Brindavana using holy soil
• Created a basic fence around it
• Performed simple offerings such as Panchamrita

Despite limited resources and basic materials, the structure stood firm even during rain, which strengthened their belief that divine support was protecting it.

Absence of Financial Support or Planning: A key aspect of the story is that Sri Rayaru never sought financial help. He did not approach banks, donors, or wealthy individuals. The temple emerged without funding or organized backing. This highlights his complete reliance on faith and the belief that if the work is divinely ordained, it will sustain itself.

Criticism and Opposition faced by Sri Rayaru from Society: Many people, including religious figures, questioned the authenticity of the temple. They criticized:

• The lack of rituals and traditions
• The absence of formal religious practices
• The simplicity of the Mrithika Brindavana

Some even rejected the idea that a sacred presence could exist in such a form. This shows the clash between traditional expectations and the leader's unconventional approach.

Persecution and Personal Hardship faced by Sri Rayaru: The opposition intensified to the point where Sri Rayaru was driven out of the village. He was denied even basic necessities like food and water. Despite this, he did not abandon the temple or his faith. Instead, he prayed for the well-being and wisdom of those who opposed him, reflecting his compassion and spiritual maturity.

• Some experienced strong spiritual sensations
• Offerings such as flowers and incense appeared unexpectedly

These events led even skeptics to acknowledge that the Brindavana was not ordinary and that a divine presence existed there.
