ಲಕ್ಕಸಂದ್ರ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದೊಳಗಿನ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಮಂದಿರವೆಂದರೆ ಶ್ರೀ ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ. ಇದರ ಉಗಮವು ಭಕ್ತನೊಬ್ಬನ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಯರ ದಿವ್ಯ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಿಕಟವಾಗಿ ಬೆಸೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದೆ.
Another significant shrine within the Lakkasandra Kshetra is the Sri Subrahmanya Temple, whose origin is closely connected to the faith of a devotee and the divine guidance of Sri Rayaru.
ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಯರೊಂದಿಗಿದ್ದ ಭಕ್ತರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೆ ನಾಗಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪನೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಆಳವಾದ ಇಚ್ಛೆ ಮೂಡಿತು. ಈ ಹಂಬಲವು ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲದವರೆಗೆ ಅವರ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಉಳಿದಿತ್ತು, ಕೊನೆಗೆ ಅವರು ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ಕೋರಿ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಯರನ್ನು ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಇಚ್ಛೆಯನ್ನು ವಿನಮ್ರವಾಗಿ ನಿವೇದಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ, 'ಗುರುಗಳೇ, ನಾನು ನಾಗಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪನೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ನನಗೆ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿ, ಇದನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಹೇಗೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ತೋರಿಸಿಕೊಡಿ' ಎಂದು ವಿನಂತಿಸಿದರು.
Among the devotees associated with Sri Rayaru, one individual developed a deep desire to perform a Naga Pratishtha (consecration of serpent deities). This aspiration remained in his heart for a long time, and eventually he approached Sri Rayaru seeking guidance. He humbly submitted his wish and requested, "Gurugale, I wish to perform a Naga Pratishtha. Kindly guide me and show me where and how it should be done."
ಅವನ ವಿನಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಯರು ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಿದರು. ತಾವು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಮಂತ್ರಾಲಯ ಯಾತ್ರೆಗೆ ಯೋಜಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ಭಕ್ತನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ ಅವರು, ತಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬರುವಂತೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ತೀರ್ಥಯಾತ್ರೆಯ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳಾದ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠರಿಂದ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು, ಅವರ ಸೂಚನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸೋಣ ಎಂದು ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಯರು ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
Upon hearing his request, Sri Rayaru responded immediately. He informed the devotee that they were already planning a journey for Mantralaya and invited him to accompany them. Sri Rayaru suggested that they seek guidance from learned spiritual authorities during the pilgrimage and follow their instructions.
ಅವರು ಮಂತ್ರಾಲಯದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಬೆಳೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಹನುಮಂತನ ದರ್ಶನ ಪಡೆಯಲು ಬೆಳಗೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತರು. ಈ ಭೇಟಿಯ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ, ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಯರು ಪೂಜನೀಯ ವಿದ್ವಾಂಸರು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂತರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಬಿಂದು ಮಾಧವ ಶರ್ಮಾ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿಯವರ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪಿಸಿದರು. ಉದ್ದೇಶಿತ ನಾಗಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪನೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಹನುಮಂತನ ಮುಂದೆ ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನಿಟ್ಟು ದಿವ್ಯ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ಬೇಡುವಂತೆ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಯರು ಆ ಭಕ್ತನಿಗೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದರು.
As they proceeded towards Mantralaya, they stopped at Belaguru to have darshan of Lord Anjaneya. During this visit, Sri Rayaru raised the matter in the presence of the revered scholar and saint Sri Bindu Madhava Sharma Swamiji. Sri Rayaru instructed the devotee to place his request before Lord Anjaneya and seek divine guidance regarding the proposed Naga Pratishtha.
ಆ ಭಕ್ತನು ತನ್ನ ಇಚ್ಛೆಯನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀ ಬಿಂದು ಮಾಧವ ಶರ್ಮಾ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿಯವರಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಗೌರವದಿಂದ ವಿನಂತಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಅವರ ಸಲಹೆಯನ್ನು ಕೋರಿದನು. ಭಕ್ತನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಆಲಿಸಿದ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿಯವರು ವಿವರವಾದ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. ಈ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪನೆಯನ್ನು ಬೇರೆಲ್ಲೂ ಮಾಡದೆ, ಲಕ್ಕಸಂದ್ರ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಆವರಣದೊಳಗೇ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಒಂದು ಬದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಗಳ ಬೃಂದಾವನ ಮತ್ತು ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಬದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಂಚಮುಖಿ ಆಂಜನೇಯ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ ಇರುವುದನ್ನು ಅವರು ಬೆರಳುಮಾಡಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಎರಡು ಪವಿತ್ರ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ನಡುವೆ, ಒಂದು ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಸರ್ಪಗಳ ಆವಾಸಸ್ಥಾನವಿತ್ತು ಎಂದು ತಮಗೆ ಅನಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
The devotee respectfully explained his desire to Sri Bindu Madhava Sharma Swamiji and sought his advice. After listening carefully, the Swamiji provided a detailed direction. He explained that the consecration should not be performed elsewhere but within the sacred precincts of the Lakkasandra Kshetra itself. He pointed out that Sri Raghavendra swamy Brindavana was situated on one side and the Panchamukhi Anjaneya Temple on the other. Between these two sacred locations, he felt there had once been a dwelling place of serpents.
ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿಯವರು ಅದೇ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಮಂದಿರವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಸೂಚನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಅವರು ವಿವರವಾಗಿ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಮುಖ್ಯ ವಿಗ್ರಹವು ಸುಮಾರು ಐದೂವರೆ ಅಡಿ ಎತ್ತರವಿರಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ಹಿಂಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ರಕ್ಷಣಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆದ್ದ ಏಳು ಹೆಡೆಗಳ ಸರ್ಪವಿರಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಮಂದಿರದ ಬಳಿ ಒಂದು ಪವಿತ್ರವಾದ ಕಗ್ಗಲಿ ಮರವನ್ನು ನೆಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದೂ ಅವರು ನಿರ್ದಿಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ದೇವಾಲಯದ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪನೆಯ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಅಂಶವನ್ನು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಹಾಗೂ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಿತವಾಗಿ ವಿವರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
Swamiji further instructed that a shrine should be constructed at that very location. He described in detail how the deity should be installed. The main idol was to be approximately five and a half feet tall, with a seven-hooded serpent rising protectively behind it. He also specified that a sacred Kaggali tree should be planted near the shrine. Every aspect of the temple’s design and consecration was explained carefully and systematically.
ಆ ಭಕ್ತನಿಗೆ ತಾನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಉತ್ತರವು ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ದೊರೆಯಿತು. ತೀರ್ಥಯಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಗಿಸಿ ಲಕ್ಕಸಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಮರಳಿದ ನಂತರ, ಶ್ರೀ ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆಗಳು ಯಾವುದೇ ವಿಳಂಬವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾದವು. ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಯರ ಮೂಲಕ ದೊರೆತ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ಮತ್ತು ಆಂಜನೇಯ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಯ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯ ದಿವ್ಯ ಸಂಕೇತಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ, ಈ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಮಂದಿರವು ಕ್ರಮೇಣ ರೂಪಗೊಂಡಿತು.
For the devotee, the answer he had been seeking arrived immediately. After completing the pilgrimage and returning to Lakkasandra, preparations for the Sri Subrahmanya Temple began without delay. Following the guidance received through Sri Rayaru and the divine indications attributed to Lord Anjaneya, the shrine gradually took shape.
ಇಂದು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿ ನಿಂತಿರುವ ಈ ಭವ್ಯ ದೇವಾಲಯವು ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಗಳ ಬೃಂದಾವನ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀ ಪಂಚಮುಖಿ ಆಂಜನೇಯ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ನಡುವೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಶಾಂತ ಹಾಗೂ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕವಾಗಿ ಚೈತನ್ಯದಾಯಕವಾದ ವಾತಾವರಣದಿಂದ ಆವೃತವಾಗಿರುವ ಈ ತಾಣವು, ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡುವ ಭಕ್ತರಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಆರಾಧನಾ ಸ್ಥಳವಾಗಿ ಮಾರ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಶ್ರೀ ದಿವಾಕರ್ ಅವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ ಭಕ್ತರ ಉದಾರ ಬೆಂಬಲದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಈ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಮಂದಿರವು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು, ಇದು ಲಕ್ಕಸಂದ್ರದ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ದಿವ್ಯ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯ ಸೇರ್ಪಡೆಯನ್ನು ತಂದಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದೆ.
The temple that stands today is beautifully situated between Sri Raghavendra swamy Brindavana and the Panchamukhi Anjaneya Swamy Temple. Surrounded by a calm and spiritually uplifting atmosphere, it has become an important place of worship for devotees visiting the kshetra. Under the leadership of Sri Divakar and with the generous support of numerous devotees, this sacred shrine was successfully established, bringing yet another divine presence into the spiritual landscape of Lakkasandra.
ಈ ದೇವಾಲಯದ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳಲ್ಲೊಂದೆಂದರೆ, ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾಂಡದ ಸರ್ಪನಾದ ಅನಂತ ಆದಿಶೇಷನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇದಕ್ಕಿರುವ ಸಂಬಂಧ. ದೇವಾಲಯದ ವಾಸ್ತುಶಿಲ್ಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಎದ್ದು ಕಾಣುವಂತೆ ಕೆತ್ತಲಾದ ಏಳು ಸರ್ಪದ ಹೆಡೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂದರ್ಶಕರು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಬಹುದು, ಇದು ಆದಿಶೇಷನ ದಿವ್ಯ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯನ್ನು ಸಂಕೇತಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಅನಂತ ಆದಿಶೇಷನ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಶಕ್ತಿಯು ಈ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅನೇಕ ಭಕ್ತರು ನಂಬುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಇದು ಈ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಪಾವಿತ್ರ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿದೆ.
One of the unique features of the temple is its association with Ananta Adishesha, the cosmic serpent. Visitors can observe the seven serpent hoods prominently represented in the temple architecture, symbolizing the divine presence of Adishesha. Many devotees believe that the blessings and spiritual energy of Ananta Adishesha continue to reside in this sacred place, further enhancing the sanctity of the kshetra.
